Registering for VIBES

The Black Student Union is projected to host 150 students at Washington State University for our annual leadership conference, VIBES. In order to participate in VIBES, all students must be current high school students. Although we do encourage Sophomores and Freshman students to apply, priority will be given to students of Junior and Senior class standing.

• If you have never participated in VIBES, then you will be the first priority to attend the conference. Our conference encourages all students to attend whether or not they have leadership experience.
• A student who has attended VIBES previously will be put onto a waiting list and will be admitted to the conference when slots become available. This is to allow new students to this program a chance to participate.
• Not everyone who registers for the conference will be accepted. If you do not get accepted this year, be sure to apply again next year!

Registration Fee

Registration for the conference is $50 per participant. Use the link above to pay for the conference only if you are accepted to the conference. High School Counselors can also use this link to pay for their students. Please make sure to include the full names of the students accepted in the respective column.

Consider applying for a fee waiver if you need one.

Notification of Acceptance

All registered students will receive email notification of their status within two weeks of the conference.  Unfortunately, because of the large number of applications we receive, not all students who apply will get accepted. The applications are accepted on first come basis. We are currently working on accepting the students.  When you receive notification of acceptance, you will receive payment information including payment options.

Registration Instructions

In order to register online, you should have the following information available: Basic information such as phone, mailing address, etc., GPA, t-shirt size, desired pick up location, emergency contact info, desired roommates & allergy or special need info (if applicable.)

Additionally, you'll also need to type answers to two(2) essay questions!!

Your online registration is one part of your total application. You will not have a complete application until we receive all consent forms.
